This station plays a crucial role in Air Inuit\u2019s flight operations, as it is the final airport on the crews\u2019 workday before returning to Montreal the next day. Salluit\u2019s coastal location causes frequent marginal weather conditions, which resulted in missed approaches and diversions. Air Inuit assigned OCTANT Aviation and its partner IDS North America the task of designing a steep approach, which would improve service to the community in addition to reducing operating and fuel costs, as well as GHG emissions.
