AIRPORT FIRST RESPONDER
FIRST RESPONDER TO AIRPORTS
As mandated under the Canadian Aviation Regulations, subsections 302.207 (1), (2) and (3), this course lays out the initial training requirements for emergency intervention at an airport. By the end of the course, participants will know their role and duties during an airport emergency and be familiar with the procedures for overall coordination of emergency operations at an emergency site.
Goals
- Introduce participants to the airport environment
- Acquaint participants with key aircraft systems and components
- Be aware of some of the causes of accidents in the vicinity of an airport
- Master the management of a response and the airport emergency response plan
- Participate in an emergency simulation
