As a specialist in airport safety management systems, Renaud Dunn has worked in the aviation sector for over 35 years. He studied security management at the University of Southern California. Throughout his career at Nav Canada, Mr. Dunn held several roles as a flight information specialist and manager of the flight services station. Mr. Dunn also performed many airspace reviews and aerospace studies, including a risk analysis for the implementation of ADS-B at the Montréal FIR regional area control center.
Now a consultant for OCTANT Aviation, Mr. Dunn shares his rich experience in aviation security management and designing new airspace. With the utmost precision, he advises clients in air navigation and implementing airport security management systems.

Marie-Hélène has over 40 years of experience in civil aviation and is recognized for her expertise in aviation regulations. She founded and managed a company that specialized in chartered aircraft services (in Canada and abroad), as well as training, maintenance and engineering services in the field of aviation. Marie-Hélène has also held several management positions at Transport Canada for over 10 years, during which she was Director of Civil Aviation for the province of Quebec.
Having carried out over 10,000 flight hours, Marie-Hélène has an Airline Transport Pilot Licence and an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.
Marie-Hélène is OCTANT Aviation’s Senior Advisor for strategy and aviation regulations. She works with a wide range of clients, including airports, heliports and airlines, and helps them evaluate and improve both their procedures and compliance with safety and security standards, as well as regulations. Marie-Hélène also assists clients in the implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS), obtaining certifications and conducting impact assessments.

As a specialist in air transportation for over 40 years, Denis Lalonde has dedicated his entire career to providing aviation services for people in remote regions. He has planned, managed and ensured the transportation of over 1.5 million passengers from the Société d’énergie de la Baie James (SEBJ), mining companies, and both private and public sectors. Mr. Lalonde has also held key positions, including Director of Transport Services, General Services and Asset Management. He also was a member of SEBJ’s management committee for eight years. He was an advisor for various civil aviation consulting firms.
Today, Mr. Lalonde is a senior logistics and operations advisor for OCTANT Aviation. He recommends effective and efficient solutions so that clients can achieve their administrative, operational and financial objectives. Pascal holds a university degree in Public Policy and in Planning. He made his mark in both Europe and Canada as a manager for private (investors, industrial groups, associations) and public (European Commission, ministries, local communities) clients.
He has an in-depth knowledge of management consulting tools, which enables him to spearhead a wide variety of projects, such as conducting market studies, carrying out impact assessments, evaluating and optimizing public policy, supporting the decision-making process, and lobbying.

Pierre Pourciel is a Transport Canada delegated pilot examiner with nearly 40 years of aviation experience. He holds an airline pilot license for widebody and business jets (Boeing 727, Challenger, Cessna, Dash 8 series, Convair, Embraer, King Air Series), a helicopter airline pilot license (Bell, Agusta, Dauphin and Astar) and is a former Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician. In addition to his service as a pilot, Mr. Pourciel was closely involved in several aircraft and helicopter acquisition projects while managing helicopter operations for medical evacuations. As an experienced instructor, Pierre has trained and evaluated over 250 helicopter pilots for their instrument rating. Since joining OCTANT Aviation as a consultant in 2019, Pierre’s expertise is frequently called upon for aircraft performance evaluation and station manager training mandates.
With over 35 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Pierre Trudeau developed a vast expertise in civil and military aviation. As a CF-101 Voodoo navigator, flight operations officer, and information officer, Pierre enjoyed a long and brilliant career at National Defence.
Trained in airport emergency management and as coordinator in emergency preparedness, Pierre has supported airports since he first arrived at OCTANT Aviation. In addition, he advises clients on the writing of operations manuals as well as on airport safety programs. He regularly presents his awareness program on airport safety. He can assist or even coordinate your emergency exercises. Mr. Trudeau is recognized for his much-sought-after professional expertise.

As a pilot for nearly 40 years, Jean Messier has had an Airline Transport Pilot Licence since 2010. He is very active with the Hope Air organization, which offers Canadians in need access to healthcare.
After a successful career in the business world, Jean was Director and President of the Board of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), which brings together 16,000 members across the country.
He has developed advanced expertise in general and private aviation. He has a profound insight of each sector and its challenges. With an MBA and Master’s Degree in Political Economy, Pierre-André Roux also holds an airline pilot licence. As the Editor-in-Chief and Head Writer for Air magazine, the business magazine dedicated to the air transportation industry, Mr. Roux has extensively covered aviation in Québec. His rich and varied experience in the air transport industry gave him the opportunity to become the interim President and General Manager of the Association québécoise du transport aérien (AQTA).
Thanks to his flight experience with national and regional airlines, Mr. Roux has an in-depth understanding of the specific context and operational challenges domestic airlines face. His expertise caters to a very diversified clientele.
With over 20 years of experience in aircraft operational management, Nathalie Beaulieu has an advanced expertise in coordinating national and international flights (medical evacuations, private flights, etc.).
She also has a proven track record in managing special projects, such as flight monitoring training, quality control and implementing safety management systems (SMS).
Nathalie got her glider and private pilot license in 1997 and 1998. She was a member and president of the Québec Chapter of the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA).

After working as a customer service representative at JFK Airport in New York, Atmane competed his flight dispatcher training at the Centre de formation en transport de Charlesbourg (CFTC) before joining the OCTANT Aviation team. In this role, he has been in charge of airport operations in Nunavut.
Ben developed his passion and expertise for the airport industry working in Northern Quebec as Assistant Director for the Kativik Regional Government Transportation Department, where he was responsible for overseeing the airport management & operations of a network of 14 airports.
Thanks to his expertise in SMS, regulation and projects involving Transport Canada and Transport Québec, Ben supports airports while they face the most complex challenges. Ben’s airport management experience is a remarkable addition to the OCTANT team.
A graduate of the Centre de Formation en Transport de Charlesbourg, Jeremy has been working in the airline industry for several years, first as a scheduler at Air Creebec, then as a station manager at the La Grande 3 airport. Jeremy joined OCTANT Aviation as an Airport Operations Coordinator where he supports the team in charge of the operations of a private airport in Nunavik.
With nearly fifteen years of experience in the Canadian Armed Forces, including nine as an air traffic controller, Jefferson Duplain-Laferrière has an exceptional working knowledge of airport operations. Jefferson joined the OCTANT Aviation team in the fall of 2019 and has since worked as an Airport Operations Coordinator at a private airport in Nunavut where he manages all of the operations. Jefferson also holds a pilot’s license.
Mathieu has always been passionate about aviation; he holds a commercial pilot license and has completed the Integrated Airline Pilot Training (ATPL-A) at Collège Air Richelieu. Having always been interested in various aspects of air transport, he gained significant experience holding different positions in this industry before becoming the Air Navigation Coordinator at OCTANT Aviation. Thanks to this 360-degree perspective and his expertise, Mathieu can successfully complete our clients’ projects.
Philippe has an Economics degree from York University and considerable business experience. At a young age, he owned and operated franchises, later to become a division manager for a construction company in the GTA. He has recently decided to pursue a career in aviation by enrolling into a fully integrated ATPL program.
Philippe joined the OCTANT team in 2020 during the air transport crisis to provide his expertise in project management and support our clients with their needs.
Jess Carignan completed his training at the Centre de formation en transport de Charlesbourg (CFTC). He has solid expertise in flight dispatch and flight planning and an excellent understanding of airlines’ day-to-day operations. His experience in the field helps the team tackle the daily challenges associated with running an airport. In addition to his flight dispatcher role, Jess Carignan acts as an analyst to help facilitate decision-making for clients of OCTANT Aviation.
Adrien has been passionate about aeronautics for as long as he can remember. He completed his flight dispatcher and passenger service agent training at the ESMA Aviation Academy in France. In addition to his flight dispatcher responsibilities, Adrien is in charge of OCTANT Aviation’s social media presence, a role in which he applies his interest in communication and marketing.
Gabriel Vincent first entered the aviation industry in 2015. He completed flight dispatcher specialist training at the Centre de formation en transport de Charlesbourg (CFTC) and the Sheffield School of Aeronautics in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and joined the team at OCTANT Aviation in 2016. He also works as a flight attendant for a Canadian airline.
Nancy Roy completed a tourism techniques program and worked over 15 years for a major hotel chain before joining OCTANT Aviation. From reservations to customer service and aviation, Nancy has worked with every aspect of the hotel industry over her career and skilfully manages complex situations with calm and composure.
Delphine Montsallier-Gingras has been working as a Reservation Agent at OCTANT Aviation since 2017. She is multilingual and mainly works with clients with special needs. Delphine has solid customer service skills, a strong asset for the team.
Inés Corpas speaks four languages and has completed tourism industry training. She has diverse experience in the hotel industry and tourism sector in France and Spain. Inés recently moved to Canada and joined the OCTANT Aviation team in 2019.
Graduated from the Centre de Formation en Transport de Charlesbourg where she completed a flight dispatcher training, Karolann is the latest recruit to the OCTANT Aviation team! Her training and solid experience in customer service will be put to good use as a Flight Dispatch Specialist and Reservation Agent.
Nathalie Lainé earned a B.A. in Business Administration and worked 20 years as an administrator/accountant for a major travel wholesaler.
Besides her accounting skills, Nathalie contributes her energy, team spirit and strong organizational skills to the team. A dynamic problem-solver, she leads administrative projects at OCTANT Aviation and offers the team steadfast support with a wide range of aviation and company-related tasks.
A rigorous and methodical professional with a talent for numbers, Elena takes care of OCTANT Aviation’s accounting needs. Before joining our team, Elena worked for one of the largest federations of community organizations in the country. Originally from Central Europe, Elena holds a degree in administration from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. Her training and expertise made her more than qualified to join the world of aviation and our company.
