In an effort to expand its outreach and offer new destinations to its passengers, a regional airline sought OCTANT Aviation’s expertise in identifying an international carrier with which to negotiate a potential interline agreement. OCTANT Aviation first carried out studies and analysis to assess 1) passengers expectations in terms of final destinations; 2) various carriers’ flight schedules and destinations with potential connection; 3) operational implications of flight connections; 4) information systems compatibility. Based on these findings, OCTANT Aviation ranked the relevance of several models of agreement between carriers, and then put forward assumptions on pricing and revenue sharing between the client and its prospective partner.
